Why is Surah Al-Baqarah so powerful for protection?

The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Recite Surah Al-Baqarah, for taking hold of it is a blessing, leaving it is a regret, and the magicians cannot face it' (Muslim). 'Shaytan flees from the house in which Al-Baqarah is recited' (Muslim). Recite it weekly, even split across days. It is the strongest household protection.
