The Prophet ﷺ himself said: "Whoever sees me in a dream has truly seen me, for Shaytan cannot take my form." (Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim) This hadith means: • A true vision of the Prophet ﷺ as he truly appeared — recognised by his description — is a genuine blessing and a ru'ya sadiqah (true vision). • Such a dream is to be treated with great reverence and gratitude. If the Prophet ﷺ spoke a command: scholars say one should reflect whether this aligns with established Sunnah. If it does, it may be a reminder or encouragement. If the Prophet ﷺ appeared distressed or disapproving: scholars advise examining one's adherence to the Sunnah and making tawbah (repentance). This dream is a barakah (blessing).
